PLC Automation Control Panel

Automation project completed January 2011. This system was a Turn Key solution for our Plant Nursery Client to control the temperature of a plant greenhouse incorporating 12 seperate plant tables with the ability for different temperatures on each table to grow the plants in the most ideal environment for the intended species of plants. Architectural Lighting Design and Installation

This photo is of Powerlink QLD main Headquarters front entry at Virginia. This was a design and construct project in consultation with Powerlink to create a soft looking but practical solution to their main entry. With close consultation with our lighting suppliers we were able to design a new "K" Metal Halide fitting where the light was spread over the ground and onto the silver reflective roof structures also eliminating direct light into peoples eyes. The project also included 14 pole mounted carpark lights throughout the front and side parking and walkway area's.

We are very proud to have over 13 years continual support from our valued client Powerlink QLD.

Machinery Installation and Relocation

This picture is of a paper slitter that we have removed and relocated to another site. Baytech were contracted to undertake the complete relocation including Electrical, Mechanical, Crane hire, Transport and reinstallation at the new site. Baytech also completed the original installation of this slitter in 2004 at this site.

Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM)

Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM) shown here are small 20 amp ammeters all bundled together on a printed circuit board. These are coupled to a control board allowing Modbus communication to a master controller, in this instance an Allen Bradley PLC. This project was a retro-fit installation as the switchboards were already in place. We completed this installation with the use of 4 Powerlogic BCPM units monitoring 42 sub circuits each (168 circuits in Total) within a Data Centre on UPS fed switchboards. This has now allowed our client to monitor loads from their desktop and can now easily balance the loads where needed.

Diesel Tank Level Sensing

This photo is of a job we were called out to for a suspect faulty Ultrasonic sensor. We found the fault to be the Ultrasonic sensor getting a rebound effect from the internal stem pipe which had holes in it to let the fluid flow in. This caused the Ultrasonic sensor to get signals rebounding from these holes at different levels causing the display reading to jump all over the place. We had two simple options as the liquid was combustible and size restrictions of Guided Radar or Pressure Transducer. Our Client decided on the Pressure Transducer as this was the cheaper option so we simply coupled the transducer to a new scalable display and the fault was resolved. Another Happy Customer.

Custom Control Panels

This Stainless Steel Weatherproof Control Station was designed and built to control pumps, stirrers and presses within a Tofu factory. This is a very simple control using stop and start buttons only as the client requested.

Tower Uplighting

Working at Heights is not a problem with Baytech as can be seen on this tower where we have installed uplighting to illuminate the top section for visual effects and security within a high security Government Facility. We have also installed 3 off 1,000 Watt Metal Halide Floodlights onto the tower to illuminate the grounds of the facility for security lighting.

Our staff are experienced, trained and qualified to conduct Working at Heights work.

Breakdowns on OLD Equipment

Breakdowns on old equipment such as this Commercial Laundry Gas Powered Dryer in Brisbane are a day to day operation at Baytech. We offer full breakdown and rectification support for all types of machines and equipment from new to old.

This photo is just an example of equipment without documentation or schematic drawings to help solve the problems and with very old control systems. We are continually faced with these challenges which allows our fault finding expertise to grow each and every day.

This breakdown was caused by the RHS Gas Valve actuator motor failing within the valve hydraulic pump housing. After bench testing the valve it was found to be "terminal" and a new valve was sourced and installed.

Media and TV Screens

Baytech have had extensive experience with the installation of small to large Media and TV screens throughout commercial environments such as shops, offices, food stores and drive through retail outlets. With these systems our crew have been heavily involved with CCTV, streaming media and free to air TV systems.

Custom Automated Control Panel with Manual Over-ride Push Buttons

This control panel was designed and constructed by Baytech for the automated control of a cement render mixing plant with a bagging facility. The system is controlled through a Panasonic FP0 PLC and communicates with a Rinstrum Batch Scale controller. The system is fully automatic with the ability for the operator to press 1 start button in the morning and forget about the entire system for the whole day before switching the system off in the afternoon before heading home. The system automatically picks the ingredients from the silo's and weighs them accordingly, mixes the ingredients in a 2 tonne industrial mixer, then adds more ingredients as required by the recipe throughout the mix. The system then discharges the mix and stores the product in a silo untill bagged into cement bags. The system repeats this cycle untill the operator switches the system off in the afternoon.

The client also asked to have manual push button controls without the risk of a touchscreen being scratched in the abrasive environment so they could clean and modify mixes for testing.

Pneumatic and Hydraulic Control

As can be seen in this picture we have experience in Pneumatic Controls and we have also worked very heavily in Hydraulic Automated Systems. These systems range from airveyor delivery, Flocon Blower Systems, 3000 PSI Automated Hydraulic Press Systems, Hydraulic Bailers and Waste Compactors.

Gas Boiler Electrical Controlled Ventilation Installations

Baytech have been very involved with the installation of gas boiler exhaust (Dilution) fans within large residential and commercial high rise buildings for Ergon Energy throughout South East QLD. These systems require a technical proving circuit to prove the fans are actually sucking air before the boilers will ignite to eliminate any gas leaking without being burn't. These systems designed by Baytech are Certified by The Gas Industry Standards and also Ergon Energy.

Silo Sensors

These sensors are Vibration Sensors to sense the height of a product within a silo without external moving parts. We use these sensors over paddle switch sensors as they have no external moving parts and have proven to be very reliable over the years we have been using them.

Surge Diverters

This is a 3 phase 120kA surge diverter that Baytech has installed into a site that was having repeated surge related issues from the power network in Brisbane. We have also installed Fine Protection surge diverters within the site to eliminate smaller transient surges created within the site from motors starting etc.

Cable Tray Bridge

Our experienced staff can normally get around any normal wiring difficulty as can be seen by this cable bridge that was fabricated to support a 400 amp supply from the top shed to the lower shed. We have very close support of Engineers and can fabricate any type of metal work from small CNC fabricated components to large scale frames required for the job.

Small Machines Electrical Controls

This machine is a coal crusher for sampling of coal when being unloaded at the coal terminal and has two magnetic safety guard switches to disconnect power when a guard is opened. As can be seen by the list of projects we can cater for small and larger types of Electrical & Data installations.
